Charupady in Teak wood

Charupady at Poomukham was a regular feature of old traditional houses of Kerala mostly in houses of rich and affluent mainly land lords in the earlier era

With prosperity smiling at Keralites in the form of job in gulf countries and in American and Europe countries.it has become something like a trend to have features of old Kerala Architecture incorporated in present day  houses of Kerala built with high budgets.

So,it is quite common to see Charupady done in Teak wood in various shapes and style in modern day Kerala houses. Here are some of the pictures.
